Saturday 29 October 2022, 10am until 12 noon OR 1pm until 3pm
This session is specifically designed for children and young people to learn how to work and build relationships with our equine friends. The participant will learn how to encourage, build trust and gain experience on how to effectively work on the ground with our ponies. We will experience lots of different obstacles and challenges that will improve your knowledge on how ponies think. This session will build up any rider’s confidence, from beginners to the more experienced.
The spookiness is not about scaring horses (or riders!) at Halloween. Instead we’ll be working with our ponies to develop trust with riders, to enable them to get used to spooky things such as umbrellas, flapping bunting, balloons, lines on the road – anything you might see while riding out.
Parents can stay and join in, enjoy a snack at Stable Door Cafe & Ice Cream Parlour, take a walk across the beautiful public walkways on our site or nip and do a bit of shopping locally.
How much? Each 2 hour session cost £20 per child/young person. Ponies included as well as hat and boot hire.
If any child wishes to bring their own pony this can be accommodated too.
